CPT Season 4 final standings - Glass Jaw wins it !

Tonight's play was dominated by the bigs dicks of the season. Glass Jaw and J-rod playing hard ball for the season win.

Suczzie made short work of both the Turkish Terror and the River to secure 3rd slot.

J-rod needed Scuzzie to beat Glass Jaw to take the win ... but he could not help him-self. He makes short work of Scuzzie pinning pocket 10's against Scuzzies 10 9 - playing of his now short stack, Suzzie is out.

Three hands later Glass Jaw dominates J-Rod with a 6 9 vs 8 K. Glass Jaw flops a 6 to make pair, J-rod then follows with an 8 on the turn. Glass Jaw gets lucky with a 9 to make 2 pair on the river. He takes the round and the season ...

Glass jaw takes out CPT season 4 and round 8 - with 9 6

Scuzzie gone at 3rd ... Leaving the bad boys to their head to head.

After and early stint at chip leader ... Scuzzie misses on a few critical hands and passes his chip's to the two leaders. If only J-rod played the table and not the player ... he should have thrown a dog a bone and Scuzzie would have seen Glass Jaw out of the game - leaving the season win to J-rod. It was not to be ...

J-rod looking gay with his half arm Caesar action - back in the game!

J-rod gets lucky on the river as the A comes down to make short work of the pocket 8's. No wonder he was happy and pulled a never been seen before, super gay, one handed Caesar which then rolled into a standard two handed gay Caesar ... a truly special moment - signaling he was back in the game.

The bad boys of the CPT turn it up in Devonport

Road Trip! ... or not as the case may be CPT 4 round 8 - Devonport

This weeks game will be hosted by Johnny Cash at the quiet sea side settlement of Devonport, on the North Shore. The boys are fired up about the new venue and the possibility of some good Kai before the blind clock starts.

No official outs tonight as yet, so looks like we may have a full table. There is word that that the "Goldfish" is back after his assault on the US sailing scene - so I'm sure there'll be a few stories to share.

There is plenty of banter on the email but nothing hitting the blog as yet - the boys a few pointers on leaving comments.

"Over the the bridge Grumble? don't forget your passport. I'll see you all there, will pass on the food, sounds gay all you blokes having Italian together ;-)" - the River

"Ha ha – its not your fault you live there ... Actually it is ... your fault ... To speak positively though at least Devonport is actually in sight of the city... I’ll see yer there for some sea shantees and a fine tot of rum after our voyage across the high seas… Also - Keep the gay thing down or cozzy might turn up!" - the Grumble

"To bad Cozzie and his GAY Caesar won’t be in attendance, I mean everybody tries to imitate the gay Caesar, but lets be honest, it is never as good as the original ..." - poker Barron

We'll be rolling in convoy from club voda at 6pm, so keep posted for further updates ...  bring it on.

Johnny cash takes the head to head with KK

Pocket K's see Johnny Cash to his first win on the tour. His cherry is
well and truly popped. He came back from a very short stacked position
to dominate the head to head. No luck for J-rod who was drawing blanks.

J-rod and Johnny cash on the head to head

As the dust settled after the quick demise of the poker Barton,
glassjaw and the Turkish terror. The bug boys settle into their work
for an evenly stacked head to head.

Early card love, late lady love

All in, pocket nines, called all in, Johnny cash flops a pair of

First out at home - first discard for scuzzie.

After a tussle with Johnny and a run in with J-Rod scum is out at 7th
spot. Made an all in call with K 9 suited, j-Tod called it with K Q
off suit. J-Rod K came in the flop ... Followed by the Q on the turn.
Scuzzie = crushed.

Round7 - Cptn. Scuzzies, bring it!

As the backend of season 4 kicks in for real this week. A few early out this week with Grumble still under the gun at work he's pulled pin early. Goldfish has made the semi's in Detroit so he has an absentee letter from his Mum. Kurac has also opted out of tonights game in favour of an early flight to CHCH to pick up his new wheels.

Glass Jaw and J-Rod start tonight at the top of the table with 5 and 8 points respectively. The poker Barron heads the following pack on 14, for what looks to be a tightly contended 3rd spot.

Cptn. Scuzzie will be looking for a top 2 finish making best use of the home turf - "I'm feeling a bit off colour today, no hope this does not impact my game tonight".

Glass Jaw takes the win trip 7's on the turn

Some clasic head to head play here for River and Glass Jaw. Glass Jaw making a set on the turn held up well against Rivers unsuited over cards. Not on the River this time fella - your luck has run dry tonight.

There were plenty of chips on the table tonight with the lead moving around a few times. Still seven seats full until late in the game when the "Poker Barron" calls "J-Rod" all in and gets shafted.

"River" playing the home table advantage won a few one the river, so he was true to form. As expected the "Turkish Terror" was playing his "A-Anything" - but all in on A 2 just would not cut it against the "Rivers" made hand.

Glass Jaw then made short work of "Kurac" - and we then had our first dealer for the night. Next up was "Cptn. Scuzzie" - raised hard in an early position. River called. Then flopped a J 10 2 pair - so pushed all in(12k+). "River" calls drawing a king high straight and a flush ... you guessed it - he makes the straight/flush on the river. Crushed!

"J-Rod" put up a good fight and played some loose cards to get back into the game. But as the blinds went up "J-Rod" felt he had to make a move and pushed all in on nothing and was called.

Head to head play started after we chipped out all the small stuff and the "River" eased springs. The power moved "Rivers" way after he made AA on the turn against "Glass Jaws" pocket 10's. But "Glass Jaw" still well stacked managed to pull it all back for the win. Nice work.

River takes the first hand head to head ... A K vs 10 10

River makes an A on the turn. Glass jaw on the back foot.

J-Rod did not pick a winner this hand ... All in on 7 4

J-Rod doubles up in a tough all in call against Glass Jaws pocket 8's

Scum's flopped 2 pair J 10 - is eaten by the River. All in = fail!

People - we have a dealer, Kurac - out.

Night night Terror ... Tough call ... A 2 won't cut it.

Poker Barron takes a ride on the rod - he calls all in on J-Rods flopped straight

Blinds are up $400/800 and play is heating up ... Kurac is getting his mojo back!

Starting the back end of season 4 ... round 6.

Round 6 will play out tonight at the home of "the River", I'm sure he'll be working that home ground advantage targeting a win after last weeks hot form and 2nd slot.

There a few hot contenders that will be missed this round. "Goldfish" still commited to his US match racing is out for a second week running. "Grumble" will also be missed - he has had to pull pin due to external pressures from "Jimmy the fish" and a few other leg breakers that he's up to his eye ball with. Also, on a more sobering note - "Johnny Cash" has had to re-divert his focus tonight to a family matter, good luck Johnny - I hope all is OK with your sister.

Returning to the table tonight is the "Turkish Terror" - after his trip back to the home country and 2 weeks off the tour. He is likely to be down game time and a bit vulnerable - keep an eye on him, he'll play "Ace - Anything" and will call it all the way to the river.

So round 6 will be contested by a total of 7 tonight ... and as with previous weeks, Cptn. Scuzzie will be playing each and every one of you ... aka the table.

Het the game begin ...

Glass jaw out at 3rd ... Not a bad discard

Red faced Barron shafted by j--rod

Scum out after a rough ride on the death rod.

Scum with a last gasp all in with J10 suited. One caller in the rod - holding KQ suited. Scum happy to make top pair in the flop. But j-rod makes Q pair in the turn. Scum out at 5th slot. Busting his run of 4's. The River grins ... Happy to see Scum out, moving him up the table.

photo.jpgphoto.jpg

Kurac taken out by the Barron on a pre flop all in on pocket 4's

The Grumble rolls out at 7th slot.

This hand got out if control, raising to the point that the Grumble calls J-rod all in. But top pair just does cut it. J-rod takes the hand and Grumble out of the game with a KJ two pair. Night, night Grumble.

Slow start to RND 5 ... Cossie and Jackson wonder what gives ?
